The Galaxy S25 Slim entered the conversation a few weeks back as a fourth Galaxy S25 model. In a short amount of time we have already heard a lot about this mysterious device. We're now learning another important detail.
Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was rumored as the Slim variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 before its official announcement, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be available internationally. This is confirmed by the discovery of a Samsung device with the model number SM-S937B. The “B” indicates that this is the global version of the phone.
Why do we think this is a Galaxy S25 model? It's simple: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra have the model numbers SM-S931x, SM-S936x, and SM-S938x respectively, and Samsung would not use a model number in the same series for a device that's not part of the same lineup. In the US, that “x” will be replaced by a “U”, and in Korea, by an “N”.
It's not known when Samsung plans to introduce this fourth Galaxy S25 model. According to industry insiders, it will not launch alongside the other models. That isn't surprising considering the Slim variant was discovered just three weeks ago. The rumors would have started circulating a long time back if it was intended to make its debut alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.
For those wondering, Samsung's Fan Edition line is not going anywhere, at least if the rumors are to be believed. The Slim will slot in between the S25+ and S25 Ultra and will reportedly feature a 200MP main camera. It might also have 50MP ultrawide and 50MP 3.5x zoom cameras at the back.
