The Galaxy S25 Ultra has been on pre-order for over two weeks and it was officially released on February 7, 2025. It's available directly from Samsung as well as its retail and carrier partners. There are a few storage variants to choose from but one of them is not available through carriers in the United States.
Samsung offers the Galaxy S25 Ultra with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage. If you want the maximum internal storage, you'll need to buy the device unlocked from Samsung, because this storage variant isn't available for US carriers.
One reason why some customers may want to get the most internal storage possible on their new device. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra doesn't have a microSD card slot.
There's no other way to expand the storage on the device other than either opting for cloud storage or using a USB-C flash drive.
Having more internal storage means more space for apps, games, content, etc, that's readily accessible on the device itself, doesn't require an internet connection like cloud storage services do, with no need to carry external drives.
You can opt for the 1TB variant when you buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung in the United States.
The usual price for this variant is $1,659 but Samsung's offering it for $1,419 only for a limited time. If you have an existing device to trade, you can end up saving as much as $900 to significantly bring the price down for your brand new Samsung flagship phone.
