It's a great day to own a One UI 7 eligible device in the United States. Scores of handsets have received the much-awaited update, including the entire Galaxy S22 series. The update is initially being rolled out for carrier-locked variants of the lineup.
There wouldn't be that much of a gap between carrier units receiving the update and it also being rolled out for the factory unlocked variants. Those users should start to receive the update notification on their devices in the near future.
Firmware version S901USQU8FYDB, S906USQU8FYDB, and S908USQU8FYDB has been rolled out for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in the United States. It's available on T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, and Comcast variants right now.
It's only a matter of time before other carriers jump in the fray as well and send this update out for Galaxy S22 owners on their network. This update also brings Android 15 as well as the April 2025 security patch.
One UI 7 is a major revamp of the software experience on Samsung's devices. This includes a new design language, improved animations, revamped widgets, and a lot more. It's one of the biggest updates that Samsung has created for One UI, and many users will agree that the wait has been worth it.
