Samsung has put fans through an excruciating wait over the last couple of months for One UI 7.0. The latest version of One UI, based on Android 15, was released in beta for Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owners in early December, but those who own any other eligible Galaxy device have been watching from the sidelines.
When does Samsung plan to roll out One UI 7 to the millions of users still stuck on Android 14 and One UI 6.1/6.1.1? Well, while Samsung hasn't officially revealed its plans, we think we could see the update rolling out sometime in the next one week.
That's because the Galaxy S25 series, which runs One UI 7 out of the box, is going on sale worldwide on February 7. The latest One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series is quite stable, and it's likely that Samsung has only been keeping the stable version under wraps because it wanted to get the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra into the hands of consumers before commencing the official One UI 7 rollout.
We have also seen rumors that Samsung plans to start the rollout in the first half of February, so here's hoping the company won't keep us twiddling our thumbs much longer. One UI 7 is a massive update even by massive update standards, but it has had more than enough development time at this point.
If you have purchased a Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra, you get to use One UI 7 out of the box but with some exclusive features that aren't available for the Galaxy S24 series, such as Now Brief and Audio Eraser.
