Two weeks ago, Samsung released the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy A53 in Asia and Europe. Now, the update has reached the USA, as carrier-locked units of the phone have started getting it. The factory-unlocked variants of the mid-range phone might also get the update soon.
The One UI 7.0 update brings lots of features to the Galaxy A53.
The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy A53 in the USA. It comes with firmware version A536USQUEFYE4 and has a download size of over 3GB. It includes the May 2025 security patch instead of the current June 2025 security patch.
The update is available for almost all carriers in the USA, including AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Dish, MetroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile.
If you have a Galaxy A53 and use it on a carrier network mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Tap the Install now button once the update is finished downloading. The phone will then restart after a few minutes, once the installation procedure is completed.
You can also download the new firmware file from SamMobile's firmware database. You can then use a computer running Windows OS and has the Odin tool to flash the firmware manually. However, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process and back up all your important data and files at a secure location outside of the phone.
