With its smartphone launches wrapped up for this year, Samsung is turning its attention to its 2027 Galaxy lineup. Following the launch of the Galaxy S27 series early next year, the company is expected to debut the Galaxy A38 and the Galaxy A58. Now, the camera specifications for the A58 have leaked.
If you were hoping for camera improvements over the Galaxy A57, you might be disappointed. According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy A58 will feature the exact same camera setup as its predecessor: a 12MP front-facing camera, a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro shooter.
It remains unclear if Samsung will use bigger or newer sensors for these cameras, but a major upgrade seems unlikely. Most smartphone brands are currently cutting costs wherever possible to offset rising memory chip prices, meaning better camera hardware might not make it to the Galaxy A58.
Samsung started working on the hardware for the Galaxy A58 two months ago and recently began software development. When it launches, the phone is expected to run Android 17 and One UI 9.5 out of the box.
