Earlier today, Samsung released the One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The company also gave an update on what's next for the Galaxy S25 series, which has already received four beta updates. It said the phones will soon get one more One UI 8.0 beta release.
Responding to a query from a Galaxy S25 user in South Korea, the official One UI Beta Moderator in Samsung's Community Forum has revealed that the company is planning to release the fifth One UI 8.0 beta update sometime next week. The development team is said to be checking all the bugs and problems that beta testers have reported, and trying to fix as many of them as possible.
The beta moderator also said that Samsung is grateful for the active participation of One UI 8.0 beta testers and will release a more stable version of One UI 8.0 soon.
Samsung announced last week that it is planning to release the stable version of One UI 8.0 in September, and the update will likely be released first for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, since those are the phones that received the beta version of One UI 8.0 earlier than other models.
Last month, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 became the world's first devices to run Android 16 (One UI 8.0) out of the box. More eligible devices will get the stable One UI 8.0 update before the end of this year.
