Yesterday, Samsung launched the company’s new lineup of flagship smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California. At the event, the brand revealed that all three phones in the lineup — Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra — have 12GB RAM across all the storage variants.
That was quite disappointing for people who were expecting to see 16GB RAM, at least on the Ultra model. Well, as it turns out, Samsung is offering Galaxy S25 Ultra with 16GB RAM. However, only in a few countries.
In China, South Korea, and Taiwan, Samsung is selling the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
In fact, in China and Taiwan, there’s no 12GB RAM option with 1TB storage. You get only RAM option with 1TB storage and that’s 16GB RAM. In South Korea, however, the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant is available alongside the other three memory configurations that the brand is offering globally (12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 1TB).
Samsung has priced the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra in China at CNY 13,699, in South Korea at KRW 2,249,500, and in Taiwan at NT$ 56,900.

Samsung has already revealed pricing, pre-order benefits, and availability details of the Galaxy S25 series for most markets, and except for the three countries mentioned above, none of them have 16GB RAM variants. So, don’t expect to see it in any other country except for those three.
Can Samsung launch that variant at a later date? Well, the likelihood of that happening is very low as the brand has never taken such a step with its flagship phones.
