With only four months until the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, most of the specifications of the phones in the upcoming lineup have already been leaked. More detailed camera specifications of the Galaxy S26 Ultra have now emerged, revealing improved low-light performance.

Tipster @UniverseIce has revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a quad camera setup with the following specifications:

Compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the upcoming phone uses wider apertures for the primary and super telephoto cameras.

A wider aperture allows more light to enter the sensor, reducing noise and enhancing details. The primary camera on the Galaxy S26 Ultra can capture 47% more light than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while the telephoto camera can reportedly capture 38% more light.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra's 12MP telephoto camera has 20% more resolution compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 10MP telephoto camera, so images should appear sharper and have more details than earlier.

Previous reports suggest that Samsung won’t be improving the front-facing camera hardware in the Galaxy S26 series. In contrast, the entire iPhone 17 lineup is rumoured to feature a 24MP selfie camera, a significant upgrade from the 12MP front-facing camera in the iPhone 16 series.
