Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 update to several Galaxy devices today. After rolling out the update to the Galaxy Tab Active 5 earlier today, the company has now released it for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro as well.

The One UI 8.5 update, which is based on Android 16, is now available for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro in South Korea. It comes with firmware version X356NKOU7CZE4 and has a download size of more than 3GB. The update introduces an improved UI design language along with several new and enhanced features for the tablet.

Samsung is expected to release the update in additional countries and markets over the next few days.

If you own a Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro in South Korea, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the required files are downloaded from Samsung’s servers, tap Install now to begin the installation process. The tablet will restart after a few minutes to complete the update.

Make sure your tablet has at least 30% battery remaining before starting the installation.

The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro launched in mid-2025 with Android 15 and One UI 7.0 out of the box. The rugged tablet received the One UI 8.0 update seven months ago.
