Samsung had a little One More Thing moment at the end of its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. It teased an ultra-slim high-end phone called the Galaxy S25 Edge. It didn't talk about its launch timeframe at the stage, but one of its executives revealed that information.
A Samsung executive revealed (via 9To5Google) after the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 keynote event that the company is planning to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge around April 2025. So, it is possible that it might launch a few days before or after April of this year.
This is the first time since the Galaxy S10 that the Galaxy S series has a fourth non-FE/Lite device. The Galaxy S10 series had the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10 5G. The Galaxy S25 series has the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
You can have a look at the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge in our video below.
The device is reportedly 6.4mm thin (likely excluding the camera bump). It has a large Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a cutout for the front-facing camera. It has flat sides and rounded corners, just like other Galaxy S25 series phones. It could use the 7-core version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite that was listed recently.
The Galaxy S25 Edge has just two cameras on the back, so it won't be as good as the base Galaxy S25 in terms of camera capabilities. It isn't even clear if the missing camera is the ultrawide or the telephoto.
Rumors claimed that it would have a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto, but this turned out to be false information.
We currently don't have any information about the rest of its specifications and pricing. You can pre-order the rest of the phones in the Galaxy S25 lineup right now and get it delivered to your doorstep by February 3.
