Samsung's HDR10+ GAMING format is steadily expanding its footprint. After debuting five years ago, the HDR standard made its first appearance in a PC game in 2023. Over the past couple of years, adoption has grown significantly, and a new wave of titles is now set to integrate the technology.

HDR10+ Technologies, the group overseeing the development and certification of all HDR10+ formats, recently announced that several more PC games will receive HDR10+ GAMING support in the coming months. REANIMAL recently implemented the standard, while Gray Zone Warfare and The Sinking City 2 will add it in upcoming updates.

Additionally, 1001 Threads of Mizan, AWAYSIS, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will feature HDR10+ GAMING support at launch.

These upcoming additions join Causal Loop, Crimson Desert, and the F1 25 (2026 Season Pack), which received support earlier this year.

Games and displays that support HDR10+ GAMING communicate in real time to automatically optimize HDR for each specific screen, eliminating the need for manual calibration and confusing setup menus. Compatible displays even switch to HDR10+ GAMING mode automatically the moment a game begins.

The standard ensures accurate reproduction of colors, contrast, and lighting across a range of hardware, preserving the artistic vision of game developers. It is backed by leading GPU makers and major game engines, including Unreal Engine 5, Frostbite, RAGE, and REDengine.
