Staying true to the promise it made last week, Samsung has released the One UI 8.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 have also received the new update in select countries. Earlier, this update was released only for Galaxy S25 series devices.

The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 beta update is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea. It could be released in India, the UK, and the USA soon. It brings several new and improved features to the clamshell-style foldable phone.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 6 and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can register your device in the One UI 8 Beta Program to beta-test the new software. To do that, you have to install the Samsung Members app, log into it using the same Samsung Account that you use on your phone, and tap the One UI 8 Beta Program banner on the app's home page to register your device into the beta program.

Once your Galaxy Z Flip 6 is registered into the One UI 8 Beta Program, you can check for the update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Then, tap the Install now button after the update was completely downloaded. Your phone will then restart after the installation process is finished.

One UI 8 brings new and improved features, including a better UI for Quick Share, more improved Secure Folder, and Samsung DeX with a new UI design and a solid underlying foundation. The new software also brings much better management for alarms, calendar entries, and reminders.
