After announcing expansion plans for the One UI 8 Beta Program last week, Samsung has released the first One UI 8.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The beta update has also been released for the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Earlier, the update was limited to the Galaxy S25 series.
The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 beta update has been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is available in South Korea, and it will soon be released in India, the UK, and the USA. The new beta update brings new and improved features to the foldable phone.
If you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can beta-test One UI 8 on your Galaxy Z Fold 6. To enrol your phone in the One UI 8 Beta Program, follow the steps mentioned below.
Once your phone is registered in the One UI 8 Beta Program and the beta update is available, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. After the update file is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The phone will restart after a few minutes.

It brings a new UI for Quick Share, a more secure version of Secure Folder, and a new UX for Samsung DeX. Secure Folder is now based on Android's native Private Space feature, while Samsung DeX is based on Android 16's native Desktop Mode feature. Modes and Routines have received new actions and conditions.
