The first signs of a One UI 9 Watch beta program emerged a couple of weeks ago, when beta firmware was spotted on Samsung's servers. Today, the beta program for One UI 9 Watch went live (via Tarun Vats). It is open for Galaxy Watch 8 series users in Korea.

Right now, Samsung accepts beta participant applications for One UI 9 Watch only in Korea. However, if history is any indication, a similar test run should also go live in the United States soon.

Which smartwatch models will be added to the beta program by the end of the testing period? There's no official list yet, but the Watch 8 series is obviously the first to kickstart the process.

If this beta program works anything like the previous ones, older smartwatch models will join One UI 9 Watch beta testing gradually over the next few weeks and months.

The stable One UI 9 Watch update should eventually roll out for the Galaxy Watch 5 series and newer. The Watch 4 is no longer supported with new OS upgrades. It is likely that the Galaxy Watch 5 and up will be added to beta testing eventually.

If you plan on signing up for One UI 9 Watch beta testing on your Galaxy smartwatch, you can apply through the Samsung Members app in eligible markets.

For now, beta testing is available only in Korea, but we expect the USA to follow soon.
