It may or may not live up to the “Ultra” name in terms of specs, but one thing is certain: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is going to be ultra-thin. In its first appetizing teaser for its upcoming foldables, Samsung hinted that the Fold 7 would feature larger cover and foldable displays, and now a new teaser (see below) shines the spotlight on the phone's super slim chassis.
There have been plenty of leaks and rumors telling us that the Fold 7 will be Samsung's thinnest foldable yet, and while the actual dimensions of the phone haven't been revealed, the teaser tells us that everyone will be impressed. The Fold 7 will also be the company's lightest foldable yet, and after the Galaxy S25 Edge, that doesn't come as a surprise.
Samsung is also promising better durability and calling the Fold 7 its “most advanced foldable yet.” Unfortunately, this is just a teaser, so Samsung doesn't offer any more details. Rumor has it that the Fold 7 will introduce “some industry-first technologies,” but it seems we will have to wait for the device to launch to find out what those are.
What about the Galaxy Z Flip 7? Well, Samsung is choosing not to explicitly talk about the clamshell foldable in these teasers, and that may be deliberate. The Galaxy Z Flip smartphones have featured designs thinner than the competition from the very beginning, but with the Flip 7 set to feature a larger battery, we don't see it breaking any thinness records.
