Samsung debuted the stable version of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series last week, and users who own older Galaxy devices are waiting for the update to arrive on their phones. They may not have to wait much longer, as the rollout appears to be just around the corner.
Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25 series a couple of months ago. Since then, the company has released seven beta updates. We recently spotted a stable One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 series on Samsung’s servers, indicating that the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra could receive the update within the next few days.
The One UI 8.5 beta program was expanded to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 last week. Those foldable phones may not receive as many beta updates as the Galaxy S25 series. As a result, their stable updates could arrive within the next few weeks.
After that, the update is expected to roll out to older Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab S, and Galaxy Z series devices. Mid-range phones in the Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series could receive the One UI 8.5 update in the second quarter of this year. Entry-level Galaxy phones and tablets may get the update in the second or third quarter of 2026.
Below is a list of devices that could receive the stable One UI 8.5 update first:
